Kate's new body of work Vintage Space Age is currently being exhibited at the Lighthouse Wolverhampton. It looks at futuristic designs of the past that are still in use today. The first series, 'Salons' was first inspired by the old hair dryers used in a tiny local salon in Bearwood.
Kate’s background in photography goes back to the late eightees when she first assisted a school and wedding photographer. She now makes her living through portrait, commercial and fine art photogrphy. Vintage Space Age is another diverse shift from her past exhibitions which ranges from Shescapes (female body landscapes) and Roadkill!
A night at the Opera - Kate is also working with the Birmingham Opera Company http://www.birminghamopera.org.uk/ to produce images that respond to the theme of their current opera Mozart's Idomenao. She's also documenting the amazing transformation of the disused Sherbourne Rubber Factory into Birminghams Opera house for the production.Enter
