Extract from Project Evaluation for Pupil Referral Unit in Worcester July 2010: ‘The pupils and staff chose Kate to work on this project due to her extensive experience delivering photographic projects, and particularly her experience with children with challenging behaviour and needs. She engaged and inspired the children during interview and pupils and staff all enjoyed her ‘hands on’ approach where she encouraged the children to be as actively involved as possible, particularly using the photographic equipment. She was extremely calm and patient and had the right disposition for this environment and had a huge amount of great ideas for the project. Lots of staff and visitors commented on how good Kate was with the pupils and how well she communicated with them. Kate was extremely calm at all times and this attitude enabled the children to bond and relax with her really well’
